How to Prepare Drinking Chocolate
For a classic single serving, combine your choice of:
- 1/2 cup milk + 2 tbsp drinking chocolate
- 1/2 cup water + 3 tbsp drinking chocolate
Then, simply warm the mixture over medium-high heat, stirring frequently until the chocolate melts.
Mixing tip: for easier mixing and a frothier drink, use an immersion blender (careful, hot liquid!).
Heating tip: do not allow the mixture to boil; boiling can give the finished drink a grainy mouthfeel.
Spicing tip: you are welcome to sweeten more, add spices (cinnamon, cayenne...), or adjust proportions to suit your taste. The mix is already sweetened to 60% dark with whole cane sugar.
