Like most businesses today, we rely on many digital tools to enable and enhance our work. It's our policy to use these tools in a way that's respectful and transparent when it comes to your data and privacy.
SECTION 1 - WHAT DATA DO YOU COLLECT AND WHERE DOES IT GO?
These cookies work by sharing information about your visit with third parties that keep an anonymized profile about you. These third parties include Google (for analytics), Facebook (for advertising), and BigCommerce (to power our website).
If you have ever visited a website and seen ads from that website somewhere else later on, then you've seen this type of cookie and data being used for advertising.
We collect personal information, such as your name or email address, only with your explicit permission or as required to complete an order. Specifically, when you sign up for our email list, we collect your email address. When you place an order, we collect the necessary personal information to complete your order, such as your name, address, and phone number.
We only share your personal data to the extent required to complete an action you request. This includes sharing data with payment services to complete your transaction, sharing data with shipping providers to fulfill your order, and sharing data with email marketing providers to send you emails to which you have consented.
SECTION 2 - CONSENT
How do you get my consent to collect personal information?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery, or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only.
If we would like to use your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent, or provide you with an opportunity to say no.
How do you get my consent to collect anonymized information for analytics and advertising?
Some analytics and advertising cookies are powered by third parties like Google and Facebook, which have their own terms, policies, and settings. While you can enable or disable these cookies on our website, you may wish to review your accounts or profiles with those parties, where applicable, to better control your online data and experiences across the internet.
Please note that disabling all cookies may disable certain features of the website, such as the shopping cart. We are not responsible for any degradations in experience caused by disabling cookies.
How do I withdraw my consent?
Your consent to share personal data pertaining to an order is implied and cannot be withdrawn without terminating the order.
You can unsubscribe from email marketing at any time using unsubscribe links within the emails, or you can contact us.
For analytics and advertising data, you can adjust your cookie settings using the Data Collection Preferences bar at the bottom of the website.
How do I delete my data permanently?
If you would like us to delete the personal information associated with an order after it has been completed, or to delete your store account or email marketing data, please contact us. We can manually delete the data.
To delete analytics and advertising data, begin by using the tools provided by Google and Facebook, which may be sufficient to remove all data associated with your visits to our website. Contact us if you have further concerns.
SECTION 3 - DISCLOSURE
We may disclose your personal information if we are required by law to do so or if you violate our Terms of Service.
SECTION 4 - BIGCOMMERCE
Our store is hosted on BigCommerce. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through BigCommerce's data storage, databases and the general BigCommerce application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then BigCommerce temporarily stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.
SECTION 5 - THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
The main third-party providers we use are: Braintree (payments), PayPal (payments), BigCommerce (site hosting, payments, analytics), Google (analytics), Facebook (advertising), Shippo (shipping), USPS (shipping), FedEx (shipping), UPS (shipping), MailChimp (email marketing), Privy (on-site marketing).
In general, the third-party providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us.
However, certain third-party service providers, such as payment gateways and other payment transaction processors, have their own privacy policies in respect to the information we are required to provide to them for your purchase-related transactions.
For these providers, we recommend that you read their privacy policies so you can understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by these providers.
In particular, remember that certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. So if you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
When you click on links on our store, they may direct you away from our site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other sites and encourage you to read their privacy statements.
SECTION 6 - SECURITY
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption. Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards.
SECTION 7 - AGE OF CONSENT
By using this site, you represent that you are at least the age of majority in your state or province of residence, or that you are the age of majority in your state or province of residence and you have given us your consent to allow any of your minor dependents to use this site.
If our store is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so that we may continue to sell products to you.
