New Guide to Enjoying Fruit-Forward Dark Chocolate
If you’re reading my newsletter, there’s a good chance you already know that plain dark chocolate can have fruit flavors, naturally. If this comes as news to you, let me tell you, it’s good news. Naturally fruity chocolate is some of the most beautiful and surprising you’ll ever taste.
It’s also not what most of us are used to when it comes to chocolate, so a little guidance is helpful. To that end, I tried many pairings, from coffee to cognac, and several techniques, from baking with fruity chocolate to aging it. Only the most delicious and approachable ideas for enjoying fruit-forward chocolate made the guide, and it's available now on my blog.
Wm. Chocolate at Working Draft Beer Company in Madison
Looking for a place to enjoy some great beer & chocolate pairings, any day of the week? If you're in Madison, you're in luck.
That's because my mini bars are now available at Working Draft Beer Company, a new microbrewery on Madison's near-east side. Working Draft's taproom offers an ever-changing selection of freshly brewed beer, along with dinner options from Fox Heritage Farms. (And the chocolate, of course.)
For hours, directions, and info, visit Working Draft's website.
DC Chocolate Festival
At the end of April, I'm heading to Washington, D.C. for this year's DC Chocolate Festival. The annual event features bean-to-bar chocolate makers and fine chocolatiers, and offers education sessions, opportunities to meet the makers, and, of course, lots of chocolate samples.
In addition to sharing my chocolate, I'll be leading a session about the minimally processed cane sugar I use to sweeten it. If you're coming to the festival, I'd love to meet you, so be sure to find me and say hello!
Saturday, April 28 @ Marriot Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, D.C., 10am-7pm
Additional info and tickets are available at the DC Chocolate Festival's website.
