Wm. Chocolate News, April 2019: Last Chance for Cool-Weather Shipping Rates

Summer Shipping Increase: 2 Weeks Left to Enjoy Current Rates

Considering an online order? Fair warning--just 2 weeks left to enjoy the lower cool-weather shipping rates before we adjust rates for summer.

Starting Monday, May 13, shipping rates at the online shop will increase for the warmer season ahead: orders over $75 will ship free / orders under $75 will ship for a flat rate of $10.

The modest summer increase reflects the cost of warm-weather shipping supplies like ice packs and insulation, which are often necessary to protect your chocolate from melting in transit. Free shipping will still be within easy reach; I simply ask that you order a little more to qualify so that we can be efficient with postage and supplies.

Until May 13, the current cool-weather rates remain in effect: orders over $50 ship free / orders under $50 ship for a flat rate of $7.

Please note that I always check the forecast at your delivery destination and include ice packs and insulation if necessary, even during the cool season. I may also adjust shipping dates to avoid prolonged exposure to heat.

For those of you living near my air-conditioned partner stores, consider shopping in-store rather than having your chocolate shipped this summer. Here's that list of stores again:

Monroe Street Farmers' Market Returns (Madison, WI)

The 2019 Monroe Street Farmers' Market kicks off on Sunday, May 5 and will recur weekly through Sunday, October 27. Join friends and neighbors from 9:00am-1:00pm at Edgewood High School (2219 Monroe Street) for live music, family-friendly activities, and, of course, great food.

You'll find me at the market during the cooler months of the season, from opening day on May 5 into early June, and then again in September and October. Monroe Street will be my only farmers' market this year, so please visit my tent to taste, learn, and enjoy reduced in-person pricing!

Also expect fresh produce, cheeses, baked goods, handmade gifts, specialty items, plants, flowers, and more at the market this year. Light breakfast and lunch fare is available, complete with space to sit and eat.
